Still feeding your baby after the session? I.v.m. the next session after you, we ask that you do this at home or in your car to allow enough time/space for the next session and not to have too many people in the practice at the same time
♥ Babyspa session
After entering, you take a seat on your own mattress and Ilse explains what we are going to do. You then undress your baby and you can weigh your baby if necessary. Once ready to float, your child is given a special floating collar or flotation belt. It is specially developed for babies and comes in different sizes. The collar or flotation belt has a cover and this will be changed after each session to ensure hygiene. Ilse will then escort your baby into the bath where he/she can enjoy bobbing. The water is between 35 and 37 degrees hot. This is roughly your baby’s body temperature and it will also help them relax. The bath session lasts a maximum of 30 minutes You sit on a soft bench in front of the bath while bathing. Our bathtubs have plenty of glass so you can really enjoy your baby. Your baby can also see you which gives a lot of peace of mind for the baby because you are there. A mirror is placed behind the bathtub, allowing your baby to see himself bobbing. Over time, the lights and lastly the bubbles come on. Ilse is the Kempen’s baby specialist and sees well when your baby is ready and then takes him/her out. The baby is then placed on the changing table where he/she can then be dried. Massage after the spa? You do this one yourself. Ilse explains to you on a doll step by step what to do. After the massage, you dress your baby and the session is over. Then give your baby a delicious bottle at home because bathing makes you hungry.

swim diaper bottoms, massage oil, bathing cape and towels.
♥ Roads
Before the session, there is an opportunity to weigh your baby
♥ Handy tip for yourself!
– Put on layers of clothes, it’s quite warm at our spa!
♥ My baby drinks very slowly/has reflux, can I come earlier than 25 minutes?
– No…We really don’t ask you to come earlier than 15 minutes before the session. In our experience, we always manage to feed and start the session on time. This is because a previous session is taking place before that, and for those attending it is nice to be able to leave the room quietly and this also gives us the opportunity to tidy up the spa again for your session! We see babies with (severe) reflux every day, with us your baby doesn’t have to lie completely flat anywhere and you don’t have to worry about your baby spitting up while floating. Tip! Give your baby a small amount of formula before the session. The rest your baby can continue drinking in the car or at home….
♥ How many people can join?
– Maximum 2 persons (v.a.8 years and above are welcome) per 1 baby. Are you bringing an extra 3rd person anyway? If so, it should wait outside The Practice. In this, we make no exceptions and alternating is also not an option. If you then decide not to do the session, you will still owe us the full amount of the session, because we did take your coming into account and incurred these costs.
Would you still like to visit with several people or book 2 baths ? Then you can book a private session or a duo friend session. For baby spa options, select the duo pals session. and you can book a private session or a duo pals session You will then see which days/times both pools are available and just book 2 pools at the same time.
