Suppose you have young children and you want to do something fun. How nice then it would be to have a website where you could see all the activities in the region – and beyond. Oh, wait, that website exists! Go-Kids provides such an overview: from playgrounds to theatre performances, from workshops to special overnight stays. You never have to wonder where you get your inspiration from again. And your kids? Those just need to enjoy themselves.

Always looking for fun activities

Go-Kids has been around for 10 years and has grown over the years into a large online platform with national coverage. Maike Kanen is the regional manager of the Eindhoven region. M “I am always on the lookout for fun activities for young families, my radar is always on. If we are somewhere and I see a poster or a newspaper article, I have to make a note to put it on the site later or to contact the organisation,” Maike laughs. “You could say I spend all day with it but I don’t mind at all. Neither does our 9-year-old daughter because she reaps the benefits of the fact that of many activities, I also want to know how it is experienced.”

The place to go for fun outings with the kids

Go-Kids is a gathering place for lots of fun activities. “The site is filled by organisations looking for exposure. They subscribe to Go-Kids or pay for a one-off listing. In return, they appear on the website and get a post on my social channels. With a reach of more than 12,500 followers on Facebook and Instagram, surely that’s worth it.” Go-Kids’ strength is its huge variety of activities. “Whether you want to take the kids to a playground or ball pit or visit a museum that has a fun offer for kids: you’ll find it with us. You no longer have to spend hours Googling and you come across very surprising things. And that’s the nice thing about the offer on our site: you discover something different all the time.” Go-Kids also offers seasonal offerings: fun outings around St Nicholas, ice cream fun in winter or tips for child-friendly restaurants at Christmas, for example.

Tips for low-budget trips

As if the website wasn’t enough, this year we released an E-magazine from that is packed with discounts and tips for low-budget getaways. Maike: “On Go-Kids and in the magazine you will find outings for all budgets. A trip to a playground without paying an entrance fee with a cooler full of goodies can be just as much fun as a day at an amusement park. The longer you browse our site, the more gems you’ll find. And you’ll be doing your kids a favour because they get to experience lots of different kinds of activities.”

Map for one overall view

A unique feature of the website is the map showing all activities. Maike: “At a glance, you can see where there is something to do in the neighbourhood. There is overlap with other regions to get as complete a picture as possible. Basically, you search at 50 kilometres from where you live but you can get the whole country in view, also nice while on holiday at home.”

Cooperation with Babypraktijk Ilse

Babypraktijk Ilse’s services can also be found on Go-Kids. “We have activities for children from 0-12 on our site, so Babypraktijk Ilse’s offer fits in very well,” says Maike. “It’s a nice collaboration between us: she promotes our site in her practice and we include her services, on our site. Nice to share knowledge because ultimately we have one common goal: to inform parents.”
